The Nigerian entertainment industry was set abuzz recently when Royalty Records made a grand entry with the launch of its record label at Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The coming of the new label, which is a subsidiary of Monarch Empire, an international entertainment company, will raise the bar in music production and marketing in the country.

Speaking at the label’s unveiling event, Managing Director, Royalty Records, Prince William Stanley, said: “Royalty Records was birthed to raise the bar in music and create an international platform for artists to realize and achieve their dreams. We have made it the mandate of Royalty Records that, apart from the record label churning out hit records, the standard and quality of living in the world will also be elevated through its various platforms of outreach.”

Prior to the launch, Stanley explained that the parent company, which had existed for the past seven years, has not been able to give its artistes the much-needed promotion. At the moment, Royalty Records is home to super talented acts like C-Prince, B-tone and Highlife singer, Sunny Bobo.

Stanley, an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist with a passion for timeless music, was born in Hammersmith, one of London’s most prestigious boroughs into a family of musically influenced people. He has vowed to bring his Midas touch to the management of the new label and turn it into a success like he has done to his other businesses such as Monarch Empire and Philwils Development Corp.
