In what has been described as its most significant product update in years, MultiChoice Nigeria, a CANAL+ Company, has initiated a major overhaul of its DStv and GOtv bouquets.

The new package structure, which will be activated on November 5, is part of the company’s drive to deliver greater value and support CANAL+’s Global Offer Strategy of building a more customer-centric and simplified portfolio across Africa.

A statement from the company reveals that the new DStv line-up will comprise four packages including Starter, Select, Sports and Premium, while GOtv customers will have Easy, Starter, Select and Sports to choose from.

Speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, Kemi Omotosho, said the reimagined packages reflect current viewing habits. “Our focus is on giving subscribers better value and access to the entertainment they love,” she said. “The strength of our platform is the combination of African entertainment, leading international content and unrivalled live sports in one place. We’ve reimagined our packages to better reflect how customers watch today, with tailored options specifically for general entertainment and sports fans.”

According to Omotosho, the DStv Starter will go for N6,000, featuring two brand-new channels – SuperSport Kickoff, which will broadcast the Premier League Match of the Week and selected UEFA Champions League matches, and Africa Magic+, offering premium local and international series.

The Select package, which comes at N11,000, is targeted at families. It offers all movie channels, local and international series, a selection of top football and other sports, as well as the full kids’ channel bouquet.

In a first for the platform, MultiChoice is introducing a dedicated sports package for football fans at N21,000. The package will show every Premier League and every UEFA Champions League match, alongside WWE and UFC, plus all general entertainment channels available on Select.

Premium remains the flagship and most comprehensive offering, combining everything on Sports with additional premium sports including Formula 1, MotoGP, Grand Slam tennis and Golf majors, as well as top international series on M-Net.

The company’s movie offering has also been refreshed with the introduction of M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends, promising more blockbusters, faster access to new releases and fewer repeats.

GOtv subscribers should also expect more value, with new packages launching simultaneously on November 5 tailored to local audiences.
