Inflation rate falls again as food prices stay up

Fresh economic statistic shows that the year-on-year inflation rate fell for the second time in 16 months, but food prices stay on the high side, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has revealed.

Year-on-year headline inflation dropped to 17.26 percent in March 2017 from 17.78 percent in February 2017 but month-on-month rose by 1.72 percent from 1.49 percent in the previous month.
