Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday, extending their wait for a first Premier League victory under new manager Andoni Iraola.
Nottingham Forest took the lead in the 24th minute through Dan Ndoye, who finished a swift counter-attack to put the visitors ahead.
Liverpool eventually drew level in the 60th minute when Alexander Isak converted Cody Gakpo’s low cross.
Forest regained the advantage 10 minutes later after Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was adjudged to have fouled Neco Williams inside the penalty area, with Morgan Gibbs-White making no mistake from the spot.
However, Liverpool rescued a point in the 82nd minute through Victor Muñoz, who struck a powerful effort to make it 2-2.
The result means Liverpool have now recorded consecutive 2-2 draws at the start of the Premier League season, following their opening-day draw against Newcastle United.
