DG Records’ act and fast rising Afro pop singer, Cyprex (Chukwuyem Onyemaka Romeo) is poised to heat up the scene, as he drops yet another single from his soon to be released album, which his management, led by Jegbefume Henry has boasted will rule the airwaves.
Entitled ‘Money’, the single is coming on the heels of the success of his previous single, ‘Colombi’, featuring Oritsefemi and Harrsyong.
In a chat with TS Weekend, his manager, Jegbefume Henry, one of the brains behind the success of Humblesmith’s hit song, ‘Osinachi’, said: “Ever since he hit the music scene, Cyprex has been redefining the sound and heating up the airwaves. His last single, ‘Colombi’ was a resounding success. Now, fans should watch out for him. He is the future of Nigerian music.”
He added that the single would be on music blogs across social media platforms for free downloads. The video was directed in Lagos by Mat Max and produced by Emani.
Born March 9 and discovered by Ozuem Chukwu Elema, DG Records’ CEO, Cyprex’ first singles, ‘My Time’ and ‘Honey’ dropped in 2016 to wide acclaim.
