The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has told newly admitted students of the Lagos State University School of Basic and Advanced Studies (LASUSBAS) that if the facilities provided for them at the School were anything to go by, then they have no reason to fail at the end of their one year programme.

The Vice Chancellor hinged her optimism on the resources available to the students at the serene campus of the programme, noting thus: “What we have provided to make your one year journey in this campus successful are the best of both human and materials resources available. Our teaching and non-teaching staff are not only here to impart knowledge and sound morals into you, they are also here in place of locus parentis, helping to provide guidance and direction to you whenever the need arises. I urge you to please respect them.” She then added that, “With everything that we have made available, I am bold to say that you have no excuse for failure in this programme. My prayer is that you all will succeed.”
Prof. Olatunji-Bello was speaking at the 2023/2024 Orientation Programme of the School held at the LASUSBAS Campus, in Topo, Badagry yesterday.
While addressing the over 800 A’level students, the Vice Chancellor, who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Adenike Boyo assured them they are in for quality teaching and learning experience that would prepare them for direct entry into the Nigeria’s best State University. Without a doubt, you will be receiving world-class education that can help you to stand on your feet wherever you go from here.”
