President Bola Tinubu has officially forwarded the name of Bernard Doro from Plateau State to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The nomination comes after Nentawe Yilwatda’s election as the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in July, vacating her ministerial role in Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Doro, born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, brings over two decades of rich experience spanning clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, and strategic leadership in both the UK and Nigeria.
His academic background includes degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA concentrating on IT-driven business strategy, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice. He is qualified as an Independent Prescriber and serves as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within the NHS, having worked in urgent care, walk-in centres, GP practices, and hospital environments.
