Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has described former Anambra State Governor and the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi as “overhyped and overrated.”
Onanuga made the statement in a post on his X account on Saturday while criticising Obi’s political record and presidential ambition.
He described Obi as “clueless” and accused him of failing to perform during his tenure as Anambra governor.
According to Onanuga, Obi’s supporters expect him to perform a “miracle” if elected to a higher office, arguing that governance requires experience and a proven record.

He said, “Peter Obi is simply overhyped and overrated. The guy is clueless. As Anambra governor, he was a spectacular failure.”
Onanuga also accused Obi of frequently changing his positions and allowing his political views to be influenced by his supporters on social media.
He added, “A wannabe national leader must have a governance pedigree, which Peter lacks. He changes his positions like a chameleon. And his worldview is dictated by his mob on social media.”
