The  Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has entered into a strategic partnership with The Sun Publishing Limited to enhance public awareness and understanding of the agency’s activities and achievements.

Executive secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, said the collaboration comes at a critical time, given the need to showcase the agency’s significant contributions to infrastructure development, research, and human capital advancement in Nigeria’s education sector.

He said: “We are doing a lot of things that the public needs to know and understand. The most effective way to achieve that is through the media, and that is why this partnership is important.”

Echono urged the media partnership to highlight the numerous projects and legacies being implemented across public tertiary institutions, many of which are supported by TETFund, while also offering constructive suggestions where necessary.

He expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the Ministers of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa and Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, for their continued guidance and support.

He also assured beneficiary institutions of TETFund’s commitment to supporting initiatives that would drive meaningful transformation across Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions.

Responding, Editor, Nation’s Capital and the North, Adetutu Folasade-Koyi, assured TETFund of robust media support aimed at ensuring Nigerians are well informed about the agency’s contributions.

She noted that TETFund has become a defining force in public tertiary education through its visible and impactful investments in infrastructure development.

“Our duty as your media partner is to ensure Nigerians are aware of the remarkable work you are doing across institutions,” she said.

Folasade-Koyi further assured TETFund that the partnership would be mutually beneficial to all stakeholders involved.
