Ooni’s wife Temitope Ogunwusi named African Diaspora Union Special Envoy

Olori Temitope Enitan Ogunwusi, the wife of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has been named Special Envoy and African Queen Mother of the African Diaspora Union (AFRIDU).

AFRIDU President, Archbishop Chidiebere Anelechi Ogbu formally presented the appointment in a ceremony held at the Corinthians Villa, Abuja.

In her remarks, Olori Temitope expressed deep gratitude to AFRIDU on her appointment, which she dedicated to her husband, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

She highlighted the unique place their heritage holds in history and the hearts of millions worldwide, while also affirming her dedication to the mission and vision of AFRIDU.

The African Diaspora Union (AFRIDU) is a Pan-African diplomatic Organisation representing the descendants of African people.

AFRIDU was established under the African Union’s resolution DIASPORA/ASSEMBLY/AU/DEC1 (1) of 2012 and the United Nations resolution 68/237 of 2013, with the aim of reconnecting African descendants with their roots, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting unity and empowerment among African communities worldwide.
