Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ima Niboro has been appointed as one of the spokespersons of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.
The veteran journalist’s appointment comes as part of efforts to further bolster the campaign communications team led by Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, with Minister of Information and National Orientation as Co-chairman.
Niboro served as Special Adviser on Media to former President Goodluck Jonathan, having previously served Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President in the same role.
Other members of the communications team include Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga; Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, Tunde Rahman; and National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka.
A consummate communications professional, Niboro possesses years of experience in high-end roles in government and public affairs.
In December 2023, he was appointed Executive Director in charge of Government Affairs and Strategic Communications of Bellagio Airlines in December 2023.
