The Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos has lauded the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), popularly known as Pyrates Confraternity, Zanas Deck, for organising a medical outreach that benefited more than 120 residents.
The outreach, themed “Ophthalmological and Medical Outreach,” was held at Paddington Mini Stadium, Barrack Bus Stop, in partnership with BioFem Pharmaceutical Company.
The programme offered free eye examinations, free eye glasses, medical consultations, and distribution of prescribed medications to residents.
Speaking at the event, the Vice Chairman of Surulere LG, Prince Muiz Dosumu, commended the association and its pharmaceutical partner for bringing quality healthcare services closer to the grassroots.
Dosumu noted that collaborations between non-governmental organisations and private companies play a vital role in complementing government efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery.
