Lagos agog as Copa Lagos begins

It was a beehive of sporting activity in the city of Lagos yesterday, as the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer fiesta and the African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations commenced.
However, organizers of the annual Copa Lagos tourney which attracts teams from all over the world say it will be a one-day event instead of the usual three days and will attract teams from Nigeria and Europe.
The event which is taking place at the Eko Atlantic City will see three matches played over the course of a day.
Enyimba Football Club will go head to head with the Pepsi Football Academy in the Club Challenge game with a Celebrity Match between ex-Super Eagles internationals and some selected Nigerian celebrities also in the cards
The highlight of the day will be the international game between the Beach Soccer National team of Switzerland led by Dejan Stankovic who leads the world in goals scored in Beach Soccer for 2016 with 63 goals from 28 games and Super Sand Eagles..
