The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, says Generation Z will occupy a prominent place in his nine pillar ITESIWAJU Development Agenda.

He spoke at an event titled Gen Z Meet Yayi at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, convened by Lima Hassan. He described young people as critical to the future, citing the technology now in their hands.

Adeola listed training thousands of youths in ICT, building 18 ICT centres and constructing over 98 classroom blocks. He also cited textbook distribution, scholarships for over 12,000 tertiary students and 102 mini buses for institutions.

He said youth development falls under three pillars: education and human capital, women and youth development, and job creation and industrialisation. He promised a Ministry of Wealth Creation and investment in the creative industry.

Adeola urged Gen Z to support APC candidates, citing NELFUND student loans under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Actor Lateef Adedimeji urged the youths to develop their talents, avoid crime and downplay the japa syndrome.
