Nigeria has been described as one of the business destinations with huge prospects in the world notwithstanding the challenges confronting the country. An Indian national and Managing Director, Narayan Trading Company, Sanjay Kumar made the disclosure yesterday during the grand opening of Narayan Supermarket at Mupin, Ota, Ogun State.

Kumar, who holds the title of Amuludun of Mupin, Ota, also urged Nigerians to hope in the country, exuding confidence that the challenges facing the country would be over in no distant time.

According to him, “the challenges Nigeria is going through are not strange. Every country in the world has its period of difficulty. It is not peculiar to Nigeria alone. I am from India, we also have our difficult times in India. So, Nigerians should not despair over these challenges.

We don’t need to be afraid, we don’t need to give up; all we need to do is to continue to manage the situation until it improves

Kumar who said he forayed into Nigeria business environment in 2019 said he decided to open a new business venture in Mupin, Ota Ogun state to provide affordable goods to the people of the community. “We established this business in 2019. My vision is to open this supermarket to provide our local people with friendly rates. My plan is to start from Ota here in Ogun State. Then move to Agbara before moving to Victoria Island and other parts of the country. Our main mission is to provide goods to our Nigerian brothers and sisters at affordable prices.”

“I have been doing business here in Mupin, Sango Ota area of Ogun State here in the last five years and I can attest to the fact that Nigeria is a wonderful business destination.  My decision to open Narayan Supermarket is to reciprocate the kindness and the good neighborliness of the good people of this area by setting up a supermarket where they can do their shopping at affordable rates. The people of this community do not need to go far again because they can get their goods at cheaper rates.”

Also speaking at the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Tiwari, Business Head, Karma Limited, owner of karma Supermarkets, expressed the confidence that the setting up of Narayan Supermarket in Ota area of Ogun would bring immense benefits to the residents of Ota, and enjoined residents of the community to take full advantage of the new supermarket.

The traditional ruler of Ajegunle-Ota, Oba Micheal Ashamu Idowu Lanisa commended the contributions of the Managing Director of Narayan Trading Company to the economic development of Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole, saying the new business venture will offer new job opportunities to the members of the community.
