The 17th edition of The Headies Awards wowed Lagos on April 27, 2025, when Nigeria’s best musical performers gathered at the Landmark Events Centre for a night of celebration and appreciation.

Hosted by Nollywood star Nancy Isime, the event saw Chike’s ‘Egwu’ win two prizes, namely Viewers Choice prizes of the Year and Best Music Video.

The late Mohbad, who appeared in Chike’s song, received an award for Best Street-Hop Artiste for his 2023 single ‘Ask About Me’, while Rema’s ‘Heis’ won Album of the Year.

The program was packed with energy, merging exciting performances with poignant homage to the artists that defined the soundtrack of the previous year.
