Ferscoat School graduates 79 students

The management and teachers of Ferscoat International School, Ipaja, Lagos, recently sent-forth 79 graduating students after the completion of their secondary education.

At the 23rd graduation ceremony/valedictory service, the 79 students who did well in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the May/June 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) were showcased and appreciated for their performance in the two exams.

In his address, the Director of Studies, Pastor Felix Opata, said the students represent a story of resilience, growth, and success, noting, “they have shown that determination and a thirst for knowledge can lead to extraordinary accomplishment.”

Opata commended the teachers for the students performance. He showcased the school top three in the UTME, Adeniyi Damifayo, 369, Idowu Oluwadarasimi with 361 and Ogunjinmi Ayowande, obtained 360.

The educationist disclosed that the best result in WASSCE in the history of the school was recorded by Asede Prudence with 8A1s and 1B3.

“To the record-breaking class of 2025, you are the future of our nation. Nigeria needs bright minds, creative thinkers, and compassionate leaders and I believe that each of you has the capacity to become just that. Go forth with confidence, hold onto your dreams knowing that this school and everyone believes in your limitless potential,” Opata stated.

Principal of the school, Mr. Fredrick Opata, lauded the parents and teachers for their contributions towards the success of the graduating students.

According to him, the outgone SS 111 students set a remarkable benchmark in their academics and noted that many of them excelled in the UTME and WASSCE.

“Some of you have won scholarship, awards, and recognition, both within Nigeria and beyond. These achievements are a testament to your hard work and the dedication of our teaching staff.”

The valedictorian, Idowu Oluwadarasimi, showered encomium on their teachers and noted that they went beyond their duties to mentoring, nurturing, and believing in them even when they doubted themselves.

The outgone Head Boy, Oke Oluwadarasimi, expressed appreciation to the school management, principal, teaching and non-teaching staff for their efforts in guiding them to success.
