The Accord Party, Zamfara State chapter, under the leadership of Chairman Malam Sani Abdullahi R/Bore, has successfully concluded its primaries, unanimously presenting retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Musa Yusuf Garba, as the party’s consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The ceremony, which was held at Gusau Restaurant opposite FCE-T, witnessed a massive turnout in support of the Accord Party in the state, as the chief returning officer, Chief Paul Eze, presented the party’s gubernatorial candidate and other candidates for the state Assembly and National Assembly respectively.
Speaking after the presentation of the party’s candidates by the chief returning officer, the party’s state chairman, Malam Abdullahi Ruwan-Bore, thanked the coalition committee chairman and members for their efforts in making the primaries exercise a huge success.
He appreciated the aspirants for their patience and understanding, which assisted the committee in scaling through the process smoothly.
Bashir Abdullahi lauded the governorship aspirant, Alhaji Musa Yusuf Garba, AIG (rtd), for choosing the Accord Party in Zamfara State as a platform for his governorship interest.
He pledged the unflinching support of the party to the candidacy of the retired AIG and all the state and National Assembly candidates.
Bashir called for renewed commitment from the party’s executives, members, stakeholders and supporters from the state to local government levels to ensure the success of all Accord Party candidates at the polls come 2027.
In his words of response, the governorship candidate, Alhaji Musa Yusuf Garba, AIG (rtd), commended the party chairman, the primaries election committee chairman and members for making the exercise a great success.
He maintained that he has great zeal to bring an end to the scourge of insecurity in Zamfara State and end youth restiveness via the provision of employment opportunities and skills acquisition training, and to engage traditional gatekeepers, information stakeholders and security agencies for the purpose of bringing lasting peace to the state.
The Accord Party candidate vowed to improve the living standards of commercial farmers by providing modern farm tools and fertiliser for them in every farming season in the state.
“I plan to ensure that every aspect of economy, agriculture, education, healthcare and infrastructure experience a total revamp if elected.”
The AIG called on all citizens, residents and stakeholders in Zamfara State to vote for him in the 2027 general elections for a new Zamfara State.
