Lere Olayinka, media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has advocated banning open grazing and ridding forests of strangers as measures to stop kidnappings and killings in Yorubaland.
The Ekiti State-born media practitioner made the call in a Facebook post on Monday.
His call came hours after footage circulated online of an abducted teacher in Oyo State, Michael Oyedokun, being beheaded by his assailants.

In a press briefing, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State confirmed that seven teachers were abducted during the attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of the state, adding that one of them had been killed by the assailants.
In apparent reaction, Olayinka urged authorities to beef up security in Yorubaland to forestall such occurrences.
He said, “In Yorubaland, it is time to rid our forests of strangers. Comb our forests and send everyone out. Get all herders registered. Stop open grazing. Enough of these kidnappings and killings!”
