President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Permanent Secretary of the State House, Nebolisa Emodi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a seasoned bureaucrat whose career has been defined by competence, integrity and commitment to national development.
In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Emodi’s contributions to public service and engineering, particularly his stewardship as Permanent Secretary of the State House between 2014 and 2015.
The President specifically praised Emodi for ensuring a smooth transition in the State House following the 2015 general election.
Before his appointment to the State House, Emodi served as Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transport from 2011 to 2014, where he supervised efforts aimed at reviving Nigeria’s railway system.
Tinubu also acknowledged Emodi’s contributions to the engineering profession, describing him as an invaluable national asset and a source of mentorship to aspiring leaders in technology and engineering.
“As a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, you have remained an invaluable asset to the nation, demonstrating professionalism, technical expertise, and capacity in providing steady leadership and mentorship for aspiring leaders in the field of technology and engineering,” the President said.
Tinubu prayed for the former Permanent Secretary to be blessed with many more years in good health, wisdom and strength as he continues to contribute to national development.
“On this milestone, I wish you well and pray that Almighty God will grant you many more years in good health, wisdom, and strength, as you continue to contribute to nation building,” he added.
