Kamorudeen Morenikeji Mudashiru, for their contributions to peace, unity and development in Eleruko community.
Ajadi gave the commendation on Friday while joining other prominent dignitaries at the second coronation anniversary of the Eleruko of Eruko, held alongside the Eleruko Day Celebration at the Eleruko Palace Ground, Eleruko Town, Ibadan.
The occasion also featured the installation of Hon. Mudashiru as Aare Asiwaju of Eleruko, while his wife, Alhaja Taiwo Abibat Kamorudeen Mudashiru, was honoured with the title of Yeye Aare Asiwaju of Eleruko, in recognition of their contributions to the traditional institution and the community.
Speaking with journalists at the event, Ajadi described the second anniversary of the monarch’s coronation as a remarkable milestone, noting that the community had continued to enjoy peace, harmony and positive developments under the traditional leadership of Oba Segelu.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere in Eleruko since the monarch’s ascension to the throne reflects the importance of responsible traditional leadership and cooperation among community stakeholders.
“Two years on the throne is a significant milestone, and I am delighted by the peace, unity and development that Eleruko has continued to experience under the leadership of Kabiyesi.
“One of the most important achievements any traditional ruler can give his people is an atmosphere of peace, where indigenes can live together, pursue their ambitions and contribute meaningfully to the development of their community.
“I am particularly impressed that Eleruko has continued to enjoy peace without rancour among its indigenes. This is a positive indication of the understanding, maturity and leadership being demonstrated by the traditional institution and other stakeholders,” Ajadi said.
The APM senatorial hopeful further congratulated the monarch on the anniversary, describing the traditional institution as an important pillar of grassroots development, cultural preservation and community cohesion.
He also congratulated Hon. Kamorudeen on his installation as Aare Asiwaju of Eleruko, describing the honour as a call to greater responsibility and an encouragement for him to continue upholding the values of the traditional institution while contributing further to the welfare of the people.
Ajadi extended his congratulations to Alhaja Taiwo Abibat Kamorudeen on her installation as Yeye Aare Asiwaju, wishing the couple continued wisdom, strength and success in their respective responsibilities.
He stressed that sustainable community development requires collective efforts from traditional rulers, elected political officeholders, business leaders, residents and other stakeholders, adding that peace remains a necessary foundation for meaningful progress.
The event attracted prominent political leaders, traditional stakeholders and other distinguished personalities, including the APM governorship candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, and the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Oyo State, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, among others.
