Iceland side made it back-to-back wins against Indonesia as they thrashed them 4-1 in their second international friendly clash on Sunday.

The game was played inside the Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta.

In their first meeting also in Jakarta, Iceland thrashed Indonesia 6-0.

A hat-trick from Albert Gudmundsson and a strike from Arnor Smarason cancelled out Ilham Armaiyn’s goal for Indonesia.

Indonesia took the lead in the 29th minute through Armaiyn but were pegged back two minutes into first half added time as Gudmundsson equalised for Iceland.

Smarason made it 2-1 in the 59th minute before Gudmundsson completed his hat-trick by scoring Iceland’s third and fourth goals in the 66th (penalty) and 72nd minutes.

Iceland are drawn in Group D alongside Super Eagles of Nigeria, Argentina and Croatia in this year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

They will face the Eagles in their second group game on June 22 in Volgograd.
