From Lateef Dada, Osogbo
The convener of Apostolic Grace Network Incorporation, Apostle Lawrence Bamilaw, has expressed displeasure over the failure of Governors to circulate wealth generated from the removal of fuel subsidy.
He appealed to Nigerian governors to let the people benefit from the accrued monthly allocation from the Federal Government.
Bamilaw spoke at the correspondents’ chapel of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Osogbo, Osun State, in preparation for the annual African 24-hour marathon praise titled “Consuming Fire.’
He lamented that Nigerians are suffering, saying since the commencement of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, the Federal monthly allocation of the states has tremendously increased but the governors who are receiving the allocation are not doing enough to ensure that everybody feels the impact of the allocation.
“Since the commencement of this present administration, we have been hearing and reading about billions of naira shared with states but the impact is minimal on the citizens.
“I am begging the governors to create means that will make the people feel the impact of the increased IGR across the country. The money meant for the people should be spent on the welfare of the people. I want to appeal to them to be accountable and address the suffering of the people,” Bamilaw said.
