The Arewa Think Tank (ATTK), a prominent Northern group, has stated that recent events demonstrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to swiftly addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges.

In a statement released on Wednesday, ATTK Chief Convener Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu cited several encouraging developments, including:

Proposed minimum wage increase: President Tinubu’s commitment to a national minimum wage exceeding the current N60,000, with a directive for the Finance Minister to present a cost analysis within two days.
Successful air strikes against terrorists: The Nigerian Air Force’s destruction of a terrorist enclave in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
Honouring Wole Soyinka: The naming of a major Abuja highway after Professor Wole Soyinka, the first African Nobel Laureate in Literature.

“We are convinced that these recent events in the country by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are a testament that he is actually in a hurry to fix Nigeria despite the huge debts, insecurity, socio-economic decay and other troubling issues he inherited from the immediate past administration,” Yakubu stated.
