Nollywood actress, Ebere Nwizu, has shared the secrets of her living without scandals.

In a recent encounter with Saturday Sun, the script interpreter revealed how she continues to maintain a clean slate in the scandal-ridden Nigerian movie industry.

According to the actress popularly known as Bayray, “I always advocate a healthy mindset because when you have a healthy mindset, you will make healthy decisions; first for yourself and also for the good of others. So, why worry about scandals? I know exactly what I want and I already know what exactly I need to do and what it requires. It’s one thing to want to do something, it’s another thing to know exactly what to do – that is a blessing that God gives. I also focus on things that are important, for example, humanity – advocating better ways that men and women can explore their full potentials and live more beneficial lives.”

Nwizu is making a huge comeback into the industry with two feature length films, Praise Party and Minee. In her words: “I’ve been busy lately filming, travelling, creating contents and the likes. In fact, I’m currently on press tour promoting two movies, Praise Party and Minee scheduled for release this November in cinemas. Both movies were hard and intense to make from the actor’s point of view, and I trust cinemagoers and lovers of Nollywood would enjoy them.

“Praise Party was directed by Obi Martins and produced by an awesome and strong lady, Anuli Ajagu. My character is intense – a married woman at the forefront of her career, who finds herself alone in her marriage and bereft with the decision to fight or flee. For Minee, I played a drug-addicted prostitute whose boyfriend is the Don of the streets.

My character, Onome portrays a part of the society that seeks a short cut to a better life through easy choices that actually lead to a very hard life. Playing Onome was mentally excruciating, as I had to think in pidgin, react in pidgin and speak in pidgin.”
