There is uncertainty over the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election as voting is yet to commence in the party’s wards across the state.
The exercise is being conducted by the party across the country.
In Plateau, feelers from some federal wards in the northern, central and southern zones indicated that the exercise is yet to take off.
As at 3 pm on Saturday, our correspondent observed that electoral materials had not been moved from the state secretariat of the party to various constituencies while electoral officers are yet to arrive at various voting units.
When our correspondent visited Kalwa House, the headquarters of the party in Jos on Saturday, the electoral materials were just about being moved to the various local government areas as at 3.30 pm.
This, in effect, meant that it would take up to four hours for the materials to reach local government areas like Qua’an Pan and Wase in the southern zone.
When our correspondent visited Apata, Vanderpuye and Alikazaure wards in Jos North, only a few members were standing and discussing among themselves.

One of them, who gave his name as Shehu, expressed doubt whether the exercise would go on as scheduled.
Chairman of the party, Rufus Bature, confirmed that there are hitches in the arrangements but expressed optimism that the exercise would be concluded before the end of the day.
According to him, since it is a direct primary, the exercise will not take much time.
He said, “The voting materials just left the party secretariat two hours ago but I am optimistic that it will be concluded even if by 11 pm.”
He urged party members to be patient and wait until the exercise is concluded.
The APC primary election, being conducted across eight federal constituencies, is to select candidates who will vie for seats in the House of Representatives.
They are Jos North/Bassa, Jos South/Jos East, Riyom/Barkin Ladi, Mangu/Bokkos, Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam, Langtang North/Langtang South, Wase and Shendam/Qua’an Pan/Mikang federal constituencies.
