Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, the standout star for Galatasaray on their path to the championship, received an offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal during the mid-season transfer period.
Despite the club’s efforts to secure the transfer fee for the Nigerian striker, Osimhen turned down an annual salary of €40 million from the Saudi team.
Recently, it has been reported that Osimhen, who scored a hat-trick in the match against Antalyaspor, has reached a total of 20 goals in the league.
The Nigerian striker declared, “The championship is my personal matter.” Despite the lucrative offer from Al Hilal, he responded negatively to their advances and remained focused on his commitment to Galatasaray.
Osimhen’s loyalty and dedication have astonished many, particularly given the significant offers he has received from global football giants. President Dursun Özbek and the management team are reportedly prepared to activate the €75 million exit clause, but ultimately, the player’s decision will be crucial for any potential transfer. Osimhen’s connection with Galatasaray has provided encouragement to the yellow-red officials.
In addition to his impressive football skills, Osimhen’s strong communication with his teammates is highly regarded. He has shown sportsmanship by allowing Morata to take penalties and comforting Jelert, who did not play, after the match. He has also complimented his teammate Barış.
