For Lagos based business man, Chief Chukwudi Ogbuagu Onyike, a day without The Sun is not complete. In fact, he cannot imagine how such a day will be.
Onyike is in love with publications from the stable of The Sun Publications: Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun and Sporting Sun.
He has been a lover of The Sun over the years.
According to him, a day without The Sun is like a day without sunshine; it will be dull and uninteresting. A vendor supplies him the newspaper every day. Sometimes, he buys more than one copy of the newspaper in one day.
Onyike said: “I started buying newspaper in 1990 but I switched to The Sun when it came out and I discovered it was different in so many ways.
“I love the newspaper too much. I love the way they report news. I love their captions even as it has evolved over the years. I love the way they treat stories, particularly human interest stories. They humanize stories in a way that makes it a pleasure to read.”
Explaining that he has made many people to read The Sun daily, he said: “After reading The Sun every morning, I keep it in my wife’s restaurant. So, when her customers come, they also enjoy it. “Sometimes I buy two copies in one day when there are many customers in my wife’s restaurant in the morning.
“But the problem I have is that I don’t know how to preserve the newspaper. So, when they accumulate, I give them out.”
Onyike said as long as The Sun comes out, he will continue to be a loyal customer.
