Lawyer and Principal Partner, Deji Adeyanju & Partners, Barr. Deji Adeyanju has urged newly-inducted lawyers to shun stubbornness if they hope to be successful in the profession.
He gave the piece of advice in a Facebook post on Wednesday, a day after the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja for 4,437 new lawyers.
According to Adeyanju, to become successful, a lawyer must know when to negotiate, be quiet, or raise the alarm.
However, the activist-turned-lawyer said, stubbornness is not a good trait for a lawyer.

“In this profession, contact is money. Know when to negotiate, when to be silent and when to shout.
“Stubbornness will not make you a good lawyer. Even as a comrade, I have had to learn the bitter lesson that law is different from activism.”
