The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has ordered the deployment of personnel and operational assets to all approved centres for the ongoing Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer-Based Tests across the state.
The directive, in line with the Inspector-General of Police’s mandate, is aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive environment for candidates and officials.
Officers have been directed to maintain professionalism while taking decisive action against examination malpractice and any form of disorder.
The Command also urged candidates, parents and guardians to cooperate with security personnel and comply with examination guidelines.
Meanwhile, the CP visited the Police College, Ikeja, to inspect the ongoing 2025 Police Constable recruitment screening exercise.
The screening, which began on March 9, 2026, is being monitored by representatives of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Federal Character Commission (FCC), and Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC). The CP expressed satisfaction with the exercise, commending the level of organisation and transparency. He urged applicants yet to participate to do so before the April 18 deadline, warning that failure may lead to disqualification. However,CP Federal Capital Territory, Ahmed Sanusi, has inspected security arrangements at JAMB CBT centres across Abuja.
FCT PPRO, Josephine Adeh said the move is part of efforts to ensure a smooth and secure examination process. Sanusi warned that any attempt to disrupt the examination would be met with decisive action.
