Kano police nab 50 suspected hoodlums, recover 20 stolen vehicles

Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mr Mohammed Usaini Gumel, has tasked officers toward enhancing safety and security of the state during the Yuletide: “The command arrested over 60 suspected hoodlums, while 20 stolen vehicles were recovered in different scenes of crime.

“The command will implement community-based policing intelligence and will display professional competence for effective service delivery.

“The command smoked out hoodlums in their hideouts to make the ‘ember’ months hitch-free. The state will be too hot for criminals to operate before, during and after the Yuletide.

“The command and other security agencies are conducting public enlightenment and sensitisation programme for the people to keep the peace of Kano State. We are involved in public presentation of Local Action Plan (LAP) for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR).

“The command extends appreciation to officers and charges supervising officers to remain resolute and steadfast in discharging their constitutional responsibilities of protecting life and property.

“All the suspects will soon appear in court after series of investigations.”
