JOF All Stars end 2024 with win over Smart Strikers

JOF All Stars, comprising of top players from 67 neighborhood clubs and football academies across the state, ended 2024 with a 3-1 victory against Ogun State Smart Strikers Football Academy.

The highly contested and entertaining match took place on Sunday, 29th of December, at Abalti Barracks Sports Arena in Surulere, Lagos.

The game which was kicked off by Ogadinma Mordi, a football enthusiast and lover of youth development, saw Smart Strikers made their intentions clear within 15 minutes, as team captain, Ridwan Oladokun, opened scoring with a long volley kick from the right wing. The goal sparked an energetic display from the host who equalized via Malik Yekini penalty kick.

Michael Faduola netted the winner in the second half of the duel after which Abdullahi Abolore increased the tally in the last 16 minutes of the encounter.

Mr. Adeyinka Adetunji, the Director, Strategic Support Services for JOF Nigeria Limited, hinted 2025 edition of the tournament will be more exciting and rewarding to the teams. Notable guests sighted at the event included the management of JOF Nigeria Limited, senior executives from some multinational companies and other invited distinguished personalities.

The interstate friendly match marked the closure of 2024 JOF Under-13 Soccer tournament which started in February.
