Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has surpassed Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé to become the teenager with the most goals in UEFA Champions League history.
Yamal achieved the milestone after scoring in Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old found the net in the seventh minute at Spotify Camp Nou, capitalising on a Villa mistake before curling the ball past Zion Suzuki to register his 14th Champions League goal.
Mbappé previously held the record with 13 goals scored as a teenager.
Yamal has reached 14 goals in 37 appearances in the competition, adding to the several Champions League records he has already set.
The Spain international is still the youngest player to start a match in the competition proper, having been 16 years and 83 days old when he made his full European debut against FC Porto.
Last week, Yamal placed third in the 2026 Ballon d’Or behind Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Mbappé.
Yamal has begun the new season strongly, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists across 15 appearances in all competitions.
