- inaugurates door-to-door campaign committee

In a bid to rally support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the August 8 gubernatorial election, the APC Osun West Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Imran Majeed Adekunle, led a series of youth sensitisation meetings across six local governments in the district from January 20 to 22.
The exercise focused on inaugurating door-to-door campaign committees, promoting party unity, and mobilising youths to back the party’s flagbearer, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
The tour kicked off on January 20 in Isokan Local Government, where Adekunle, also known as Osama Okoarugbo, and his entourage were received at the Council Secretariat by Executive Chairman, Hon. Q/S Goke Odetunde, in company of the APC local chairman, Hon. Osunlakin Bashir, and other stakeholders.
At the main venue, Isokan LG Youth Leader, Com. Teslim Apena and Isokan LCDA Youth Leader, Com. Gbadebo Adejobi, along with ward youth leaders and party members, welcomed the group.
Adekunle thanked attendees, inaugurated the house-to-house campaign committee, emphasised the need for rigorous campaigning to reclaim Osun State, highlighted Oyebamiji’s track record, and welcomed defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Accord Party.
That afternoon, the team moved to Irewole Local Government and was received by Local APC Youth Leader, Com. Olubowale Olushola and ward youth leaders.
The meeting, which began with a prayer for Oyebamiji, was followed by introductions and addresses.
Adekunle congratulated stakeholders on Oyebamiji’s primary victory, inaugurated the door-to-door committee, urged diligence noting Irewole’s importance as the candidate’s home base, and offered a prayer for the late Hon. Remi Abass.
At the meeting, goodwill messages were offered by prominent party figures in the council, including Hon. Asifat Akinola Omotuntun.
On the morning of January 21, Adekunle’s entourage arrived in Ejigbo Local Government.
The delegation was first met at the council by Executive Chairman, Hon. Gbolahan Ayegbayo and other leaders, then proceeded to the venue where Ejigbo LG Youth Leader, Com. Arch. Mutiu Olaide Ganiyu and ward youth leaders provided a befitting welcome.
Adekunle praised local cooperation, inaugurated the committee, and urged efforts for electoral success.

Midday on January 21 brought the group to Egbedore Local Government, where they were welcomed at the secretariat by Executive Chairman, Hon. Issa Akinwale and others, then at the venue by youth leaders, Com. Oyebamiji Abiodun and Com. Abidoye Adeshina.
In his address, Adekunle expressed appreciation, referenced Oyebamiji’s nomination, inaugurated the committee, stressed grassroots efforts, provided guidelines, fielded questions, and closed with glowing remarks.
The tour continued on January 22 in Ayedire Local Government, where Adekunle was received at the council by Executive Chairman, Hon. Adejare Omotayo Adigun, who commended the initiative.
At the venue, Ayedire LG Youth Leader, Engr. Hon. Ajani Kasumu and others welcomed the team.
The meeting started with prayers, introductions, and a welcome address pledging loyalty, with brief addresses covering the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise and voter cards.
Adekunle thanked stakeholders, inaugurated the committee, assured resource support, encouraged dedication, and entertained questions before closing.
In the afternoon of January 22, the final stop was Ola-Oluwa Local Government.
The team first met Executive Chairman, Hon. Tunde Olaleye at the council, who pledged support, then proceeded to the venue amid praise songs led by Ola-Oluwa LG Youth Leader, Hon. Oladeji Jamiu.
The event included prayers, introductions, a welcome address, committee inauguration with guidelines, calls for e-registration and voter participation, short addresses, and answered questions before concluding.
Adekunle was accompanied throughout by an entourage from various local governments.
The meetings harped on the youths’ role in securing victory for Oyebamiji and returning Osun State to APC control.
Adekunle disclosed that additional meetings are planned for next week to cover the remaining four local governments in the senatorial district.
