A non-governmental organization, the Care People Foundation recently celebrated the 80th birthday of its grand patron, Dr Bode Olajumoke with free distribution of wheelchairs and foodstuffs to widows.
The event, which took place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, witnessed the distribution of eight wheelchairs to people with disabilities, including children.
More than 20 widows were also supplied with free foodstuffs, while other attendees were treated to free food and drinks.
Some of the beneficiaries of the wheelchairs while chatting with the media commended the Care People Foundation for the humanitarian gesture and prayed for long life for Dr Olajumoke.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr Tijani Saheed thanked the Care People Foundation, noting that with the brand new wheelchair, he would be able to do whatever he wants to do with little assistance from other people.
He prayed the Almighty God to grant Dr Olajumoke more years ahead.
