The Edo Icons Project is set to honour the contributions of Edo State’s most influential personalities. Billed for the Bishop Kelly Centre in Benin City on August 30, 2025, the project will showcase the state’s finest sons and daughters.

Publisher of The National Chronicle and organiser of the event, Tim Okojie Ave, highlighted the state’s contributions to Nigeria’s growth and progress, citing the iconic motion for independence moved by the late Anthony Enahoro, a renowned Edo State-born politician.

Ave said there would be a book publication, featuring stories of Edo State’s notable personalities, as he emphasised recognising and celebrating the state’s icons, who have made significant impacts in various fields.
