Personal Assistant to Presidednt Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie , said the National Assembly’s oversight functions are riddled with corruption.
According to her: “When House/Senate committee members with oversight function on any agency is denied special favours by the agencies, the head becomes corrupt.”
She did not give details of what she meant by ‘special favours’ but there had been allegations of bribery between members of the National Assembly and top government officials in the past.
