A 54-year-old man in Katsina State, who defiled a seven-month-old baby girl, will be charged to court for culpable homicide following the death of the baby, on Thursday.
The man, Salisu Magaji of Mamadi village in Jikamshi Local Government Area of Katsina State reportedly defiled the baby who was also her step-daughter.
The matter was reported to the police and the suspect arrested and detained while the baby was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Addressing a press conference, on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Usman Abdullahi, said that, ”I can confirm to you that the baby died this morning and that makes it a homicide case.”
The suspect had confessed to defiling the baby as he explained that, “I actually defiled the seven months old baby girl.
”It is not for ritual money purpose, I actually had a dream about the incident because I womanize around.
“My wife is late. She delivered six children for me. I thought God has helped me overcome the habit of going after women until when I married this woman.
“So it was revealed to me in the dream that if I rape this girl I will stop womanizing.”
