Lagos has once again proven why it’s epitheted “the beating heart of Africa” through a magnificent event that marks the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), which began from 7th to 11th January, 2026 at the Eko Convention Centre.
The event, themed “Unstoppable Africa”, was beyond a mere Award ceremony. It was a five-day intense cultural festival that featured the Africa Music Business Summit and a massive Music Village concert at the Ikeja City Mall. The event featured over 30 A-list artists drawn from various parts of the continent of Africa, who electrified the event with their unique songs and performances.
The Red Carpet: Enioluwa and the “Style Police”
Before the proper commencement of the event, the red carpet, hosted by Nigerian media personality Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Kenyan star Claudia Naisabwa, had become the talk of every social media platform.
Enioluwa, known for his impeccable taste, brought a high-fashion energy that perfectly complemented Claudia’s pan-African flair while the legendary “Style Infidel (Tosyn)” and fashion commentator Ariane Celeste Moua patrolled the carpet, breaking down the night’s boldest looks.
The event was a glamorous and powerful celebration of African heritage shot into the future. There was a strong trend of “Afro-Futurism,” where the deep roots of tradition met the imagination of tomorrow.
