National Democratic Congress (NDC ) has unveiled Alfred Dapal, as its candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Plateau state.
The party also affirmed Mwadkon Dung Vincent as his running mate.
The affirmation took place at the NDC State Secretariat in Jos, where NDC State Chairman, Solomon Ndam, party delegates and stakeholders reaffirmed their confidence in the duo to lead the party into the 2027 contest.
Dapal, who present his blueprint, said that his priority would be the restoration of peace in the state, with education, economic development, employment, agriculture and infrastructure as key areas of focus.
Dapal, represented by his deputy, stressed the need for a fundamental change in the approach to governance, noting that Plateau State cannot achieve meaningful progress by relying on outdated methods and ideas to address emerging challenges.
NDC State Chairman said the party is prepared to secure victory in the 2027 governorship election, promising that an NDC government would place the interest of Plateau State and its people at the centre of its administration.
Ndam said that with the affirmation, the pary is now ready to plunge headlong into the campaigns to take over Plateau state in 2027.
