As global leaders, policymakers, and advocates converge at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), a powerful African voice will take center stage in the urgent call for gender justice and inclusive leadership.
From March 9th -19th, 2026, the landmark gathering which is the UN’s largest annual forum for women dedicated to gender equality will focus on strengthening access to justice for women and girls.

The theme of this year’s Commission on the Status of Women event, “Justice for All: Strengthening Access to Leadership for African Women and Girls,” reflects a bold and necessary call to action.
Through panel discussions, live-experience testimonies, and interactive dialogue, the sessions will explore how inclusive legal systems and women’s leadership can accelerate gender equality. The gathering seeks to advance a society in which African women and girls are not only protected under the law but are fully empowered to lead, innovate, and shape the future.
