AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Osimhen to join Super Eagles team Thursday

Victor Osimhen is slated to report to camp on Thursday for Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The 25-year-old is part of the Super Eagles’ 23-man roster for the match against the Cheetahs and Amavubi.

Osimhen is set to finalize his loan move to Turkish Super Lig winners Galatasaray on Tuesday.

According to an announcement from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the striker and Udinese of Italy goalie Maduka Okoye would join their colleagues at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel two days before the game against Benin Republic.

Kelechi Iheanacho, a new signing for Sevilla in Spain, is due to arrive in camp on Wednesday.

There are now 20 players in the team’s camp.
