Cristiano Ronaldo Junior has received his first call-up to the Portugal Under-17 national team.
The 16-year-old forward, popularly known as ‘Cristianinho’, was named in head coach Filipe Ramos’ 23-man squad for the upcoming UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying matches.
Ronaldo Junior currently plays for the youth academy of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, where his father, Cristiano Ronaldo, also features for the senior team.
The youngster previously represented Portugal at the Under-15 level, making his international debut in May 2025.
He later progressed to the Portugal Under-16 team a few months ago, scoring three goals in nine matches.
Portugal will face Andorra, Bulgaria and Serbia in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying matches this month.
His latest call-up marks another step in his development as he continues to follow in the footsteps of his father, one of football’s most celebrated players.
