Content creator, Ziczaloma said a measure of financial ruthlessness must be adopted by anyone trying to escape poverty.

He said this in a video shared on social media.

According to him, such person must be “financially heartless” even to family and friends to break the poverty cycle.

“If you know you want to come out of poverty, you need to be financially heartless, even to your direct family and friends,” Zicsaloma said.

The skitmaker explained that being financially heartless is not wickedness but a necessary step to achieve financial stability.

He argued that many people continue to shoulder responsibilities that leave them financially drained and unable to build wealth.

Using himself as example, Zicsaloma disclosed that he desired financial independence from a young age.

This, he stated, pushed him into engaging in many business ventures that eventually failed because of family.

Zicsaloma also recounted how he would save money to pursue a business idea only to end up using such funds to settle financial challenges at home.

He stated, “It’s just like you that started work and earning N300,000 monthly. For a poor family, N300k is a lot.

“Do you know your siblings can even resign their job because they know they can easily extract N50,000 from you monthly?

“African families are very entitled to your wealth…Some families are so greedy that they will be entitled to more than half of the monthly salary.”

He said the poverty cycle would continue unless the person involved exercised discretion and limit their generosity.
