Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has described former Governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose as a “dependable ally” in Nigerian politics.

He further commented, “He (Fayose) is such a valuable friend and brother, who will never pretend about where he stands on issues.”

In a statement on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the FCT Minister, in a message to celebrate Fayose’s 64th birthday, emphasised the ex-governor’s unwavering honesty and significant political contributions.

“I rejoice with my friend and brother, former Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, Osokomole, on his attainment of 64 years on earth today,” Wike stated.

He highlighted that this milestone is not only a testament to God’s grace but also a call for continued service to Nigeria. Wike noted that at 64, Fayose remains a “reference point in politics in Nigeria,” and his legacy in Ekiti will endure.

He concluded with prayers for Fayose’s health and prosperity, saying, “It is my prayer that God will continue to make the days of our own Osokomole on earth fruitful, with immeasurable blessings and robust health.”
