Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has arrived in Dubai to attend the 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2025APCS), a major international gathering of city leaders and business executives.
According to a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, the minister, who departed Abuja on Sunday, landed in Dubai early Monday morning at around 4 a.m. He was warmly received by the Nigerian Consul General in Dubai, Ambassador Zayyanu Ibrahim, alongside officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration, including the Acting Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, Richard Dauda, and other senior aides.
Wike will actively participate in the summit by leading a discussion panel on Tuesday. He is set to engage with mayors from capital cities around the world, sharing insights on the development of the FCT.
The 2025APCS, organised by the Brisbane City Council of Australia, is designed to foster trade and investment opportunities across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
The event brings together a diverse group of mayors, city leaders, business executives, and emerging professionals to explore sustainable urban development and international collaboration.
