The Nigeria police force has rescued Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu from the clutches of kidnappers.
Folashade reportedly regained her freedom on Wednesday in an operation led by the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo.
Folashade was abducted on Thursday last week at the entrance of her residence in the Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
She was taken through a swampy area to an unknown destination after the kidnappers dragged her out of her Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Folashade’s rescue was confirmed by force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, who made the disclosure to Channels Television.
It was revealed that the abductors were neutralised in the rescue operation and the ransom payment was recovered.
Adejobi did not reveal the amount paid as ransom or the location where the victim was rescued.
The CP and police operatives who took part in the operation were commended by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
