The final 12-man roster for Nigeria is set and Coach Rena Wakama looks forward to an exciting time in Antwerp, Belgium.
AfroBasket Women’s 2023 MVP, Amy Okonkwo (forward) leads the pack alongside Pallas Kunayi- Akpanah (Centre) and Elizabeth Balogun (Guard).
Also on the squad are Lauren Ebo, Sarah Ogoke, Ifunanya Okoro and Promise Amukamara, Murjanatu Musa, Blessing Ejiofor, Nicole Enabosi, Adebola Adeyeye and Olaoluwatomi Taiwo.
Nigeria will battle Senegal, USA and host Belgium. The games will take place in the cities of Antwerp, Belgium; Belem, Brazil; Sopron, Hungary and Xi’An China, across 8-11 February.
There are 10 available Olympic tickets via the Qualifying Tournaments as nations seek to join France and USA. They already are guaranteed their spots as Olympic hosts and as the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 champions respectively.
The tournaments in Belgium and China will deliver two tickets and the ones in Brazil and Hungary will offer three qualifications to the Olympic Games.
