Portuguese football king, Cristiano Ronaldo has once again advised against putting unwarranted pressure on 17-year-old Lamine Yamal.

After helping Portugal win the UEFA Nations League on Sunday evening, Ronaldo acknowledged Yamal’s potential as a world beater but cautioned against putting too much weight on him.

Yamal could not aid his Spanish team, who lost 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the game finished 2-2 after full and extra time.

The 17-year-old Barcelona star has been compared to the very best in the game, including Ronaldo himself and Lionel Messi.

At 17, Yamal has already won the Euros, the domestic league, Copa del Rey and Supercopa and Ronaldo believes he would win more only if he is allowed to focus on the game.

Ronaldo said, “Lamine is going to win a lot of collective and individual titles. He’s a phenomenon.

“He’ll have a long career and he’s going to win a lot of Nations Leagues.

“He’s 17… Please, leave him alone. I have to ask you to let him be. He has to be calm”.
