US based pharmacist Empowers kinsmen 

…As coordinator task politicians to emulate him

Acting in the spirit of the season which symbolises love and putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged, a US based Pharmacist , Dr Roy Kelechi  Nwakama and the founder of AMAROY Foundation, empowered four of kinsmen by finacing their poultry business .
Dr Nwakama whose foundation  made avaliable the sum of N2.1Million each for the beneficiaries , training fees , drugs , 200 birds, feeds as well as paying for the veterinary care.
Earlier in October , Dr Nwakama, an indigene of Ezinihitte Mbaise had through his foundation provided N5Million to one of his relatives to established  a mini super market.
The Coordinator of the AMAROY Empowerment programme, Comrade Destiny Akunesi , who stated this at the weekend , said that Dr Nwakama has been allivating poverty through his foundation by empowering the less privileged through the provision of funds as start up capital for over two three hundred persons since 2016 when he established the foundation.
He said : “Amaroy Foundation believes it is important to recognize and address the challenges faced by the less privileged in order to work towards a more equitable and inclusive society by assisting in them to fund their businesses.  Even though he is based in US, he has  continued to assist his kinsmen, His former classmates in their chosen businesses and vocations through his foundation. Dr Nwakama believes that it better to teach one how to fish than giving the person fish.”
The Coordinator  who tasked  politicians to emulate the examples of  Dr Nwakama  for zeal in assisting the less privileged in the society , further disclosed that,  “In  2021, Dr Nwakama through his  foundation empowered nine of his classmates the 1984-1990 set of Government Secondary School Owerri in the areas of fishery, poultry, piggery and snail farming .This is because if  people are empowered crimes in the society will reduce.
Earlier this year he empowered of one of relatives by establishing a mini supermarket at the cost of five million naira. It is for his relentless effort in assisting people to earn a decent living that has earned awards including
ICON OF EMPOWERMENT AWARD by Old Boys Association Government Secondary School Owerri, Community Service AWARD by Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) South East Zone and EPITOME OF PHILANTHROPY AWARD by Nigeria Union of Journalists Imo state Council” .
Meanwhile, the latest beneficiaries;  Onyebuchi, Bravo, Charles Anoruo and Obinna Chime have expressed their gratitude to their benefactor, Dr Nwakama who has giving them a livelihood by providing them with the funds, training  and all the necessary materials to effectively commence their poultry farming.
Speaking on behalf of the others, Obinna Chime said : ” We are indeed very grateful to Dr Roy Nwakama for what he has done for us and for what he has been doing through his foundation.  Today, We can earn a decent living through his assistance. May God continue to bless him and his family for remembering our the poor . We are appealing to the others who are blessed by God to emulate him”.
